Paul Lovoi, PhD

President, Founder

Dr. Lovoi is currently President and CEO of Woodtoga Holdings Company. Dr. Lovoi is a serial entrepreneur and inventor, has 34 years experience in Silicon Valley with six start-up companies. Before Tagent, he founded Xoft microTube (now Xoft/iCAD), a medical device company specializing in micro-miniature x-ray sources (invented by Dr. Lovoi) for the treatment of breast cancer. Xoft has received FDA clearance for its AXXENT breast cancer radiation device and launched the AXXENT product in Q2 '07. Dr. Lovoi founded Tagent in 2003 that is developing an advanced RFID based tracking system for blood tubes and other pathology samples. Before Tagent he founded Jan Medical, a stroke management company, Candescent, a flat panel display company and Woodtoga Holdings, a high temperature materials company.

Dr. Lovoi has 48 patents issued and 30 pending applications. He has a Ph.D. in physics and attended the Stanford Executive MBA program.
